Pink Friday Everyday!

I got it!!! :)

The day this lipstick came in the mail, I screamed with excitement. Literally ;)
Pink Friday is my first MAC lipstick first of all, and I am impressed!

PROS:
  1. You can play with the intensity easily. Pat some on for sheer coverage, or windshield wipe it on for bubblegum pink.
  2. There is a yummy vanilla scent in the lipstick that I noticed.
  3. Doesnt need too much reapplying.
  4. Put on some clear or pink lipgloss on center of lips only to give a fuller illusion.

CONS:
  1. You really have to moisturize your lips well because the satin finish shows every flaw on your lips.(I recommend a scrub: put on lip balm, rub some sugar on your lips until your lips soften, and wash it all off. )
  2. The product is limited edition, so I wont be able to get more of it :(
All in all, I've been wearing the lipstick everywhere and I absolutely love it!

Reviews!

Some products I received in December and my thoughts!
I have been wearing Forever 21's eyelashes for a while and think they are AWESOME. They only cost $2.80, and they make a few different types, some with rhinestones too. I love these in particular because they are dense and give you the dreamiest eyes. Definately worth it!

I only purchased this when my bodyography cleanser finished, but I'm happy I own it. It leavesmy brushes sparkly clean without much product being used. The only thing I dislike is using the product, I usually pour some on my hand and swirl the brush in it but it is getting annoying. Let me know if you have any other tips!

I received this as a gift and I am loving it. It is the NARS Blush cream stick in Orgasm. Applying it is not too much fun, but I just blend with my fingers until I get that nice rosy glow. Theres some glitter in it when you first apply, but it falls off in a few minutes. Very cute and girly!

I honestly bought this by accident in Sephora by the checkout bins, I didnt even want it, but this mascara is super good! The brush is thick enough to coat your lashes heavily and give you those Sophia Loren lashes. Loveeee this product!

Wishlist! Day 2

I've been wanting this for a long time and now I have my first MAC Lipglass ever!
I think this is the perfect stocking stuffer for xmas. It is such a happy color and totally wearable everyday. It costs under 20 bucks, the color is so cute and happy, and its a Lady Gaga Lipglass, who doesnt love her?!
also, all the proceeds go to MAC's fund for Viva Glam.
I think this is perfect for someone who has either of the Gaga or Cindi Lauper lipsticks too, it looks great on top of the lipstick.
I'm so happy to have this product and I'm sure lots of other girls will too!
Happy shopping!

make your brushes pop!

so I've had some time on my hands today and was totally bored and thought of this: brush marking!
heres a step by step tutorial on how to do it!

  1. Put a piece of tape on top of your brush and get rid of air bubbles by running your thumb upwards. leave some tape on the side so it looks like a little flag.

2. Put 2 coats of any nail polish above the tape. I like using upward strokes from the tape to the tip.
3. Put your brushes on a papertowel and let the wet ends
hang off the edge of a desk to dry for about an hour. Then, put on a clear coat of polish to lock in the color.
4. After an hour, you can remove the tape by pulling the tab until it rips off gently.  And that's it!

Use any colors you like an enjoy your unique brushes!
Good luck! :)

The brushes I can't live without

It's taken me years to find my go-to makeup ritual, but thanks to MAC's brushes, I have streamlined the process incredibly!

The 239 Eye Shader Brush is perfect for applying
 pigment, gently pressing eyeshadows on,
and lining the lower lashline. I use it everyday &
 it never dissappoints!

The 219 Pencil brush works great in your crease
area. I use it for smoky eyes most often to
define the eye socket. Also, its great for lining
the lower lashline with eyeshadow.
The 217 Blending brush is very handy and I think
this is the one brush you need in your collection
the most. It is good for applying a hghlight on your
browbone; applying a wash of eyeshadow on the lid;
blending together colors for a smoky eye; applying a
pop of blush when it must be precise; and the
possibilities continue! A must-have!

Taking Care of Your Makeup Brushes

Cleaning your brushes is a really crucial step in keeping them in good condition.  I recommend washing them with a spray cleanser between colors, and using a shampoo once a week.

I love using the Sephora Professionel purifying Brush Shampoo once a week. It's so simple to use and it gets every bit of color out of your brushes making them look brand new. I wet my brushes under some lukewarm water ALWAYS KEEP THE BRISTLES FACING DOWN
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYSSS!
If water goes up into your brush, the glue that holds the hairs will dissolve and the bristles will fall out.
When you're done , I will show you what to do  in the pic below!
Also, the spray cleanser I love is bodyographypro's The Brush Off Anti-Bacterial Makeup Brush Cleanser.
You can just spray it on your brush tip and swirl onto a paper towel until it's fresh and clean.

Since you now know not to hold your brushes bristles up, I like to take a towel, roll up one end pretty high and put my brushes like in the picture. You can also reshape your brushes so they dry correctly. I like to let them all dry overnight just like this.

Good Luck!

How I Store My Eyeshadows

I finally joined the rest of the world and started loving MAC eyeshadows. So far, I have 2 and I've been using them everyday. I buy the ones with a magnetic bottom since they are so much more portable (and cheaper!)
The case is entirely metal, so the magnets on the shadows can be moved around and taken out.

I store my eyeshadows in an old Hello Kitty tin pencil case I had lying around and I think I may attach a mirror to the top part so it's a cute little portable compact.

My (so far) two shadows are Beautiful Iris and Humid both by MAC and I'm officially in love!
